The Phoenix Charter Academy Network is a revolutionary organization that is changing the game for students that the traditional school system has all but given up on. We operate three free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public high schools across Massachusetts that take disconnected students and at-risk youth facing extraordinary challenges - such as teen parenting, homelessness, violence, and learning English as a second language - and hold them to rigorous academic and behavioral standards. The goal is for our scholars to obtain their high school diploma and gain access to college. We provide students with the relentless supports they need to succeed, teaching them to build meaningful peer and mentor relationships in addition to academic and social-emotional skills. At the same time, we provide fellows and teachers the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and jump right in to the world of urban education in order to create a real, immediate impact where it is needed most. Mission:?The Phoenix Charter Academy Network challenges resilient, disconnected students with rigorous academics and relentless supports, so they take ownership of their futures and succeed in high school, college, and as self-sufficient adults.
