American Insurance Association

The American Insurance Association (AIA) is betting that everything will be alright. The group represents the interests of some 350 major property and casualty insurers. In addition to its Washington, DC, headquarters, the organization has offices in New York, Georgia, Massachusetts, Texas, Illinois, and California. AIA lobbies state and federal law makers on issues including asbestos, auto insurance, regulatory and legal reform, workers' compensation, and tort reform and litigation management, among others. It also holds conferences and workshops and publishes newsletters and books for its members and contributes heavily to issue ads like those for asbestos litigation reform.
