Alzheimer's Association wants you to "maintain your brain". The charitable organization is working to prevent, treat, and hopefully cure Alzheimer's, a progressive brain disorder that destroys memory and the ability to learn, reason, and do other daily activities. The group has more than 80 local chapters throughout the US and about 300 service programs including a 24-hour helpline, support groups, information libraries, public advocacy, an online community, and a registration program so wandering Alzheimer patients can be returned home safely. Alzheimer's Association also funds research and hosts national and international conferences for scientists and caregivers. Its annual fund raiser is the Memory Walk.
