It's not envy McGuyer Homebuilders (MHI) is green with, but a dedication to building environmentally-friendly homes. The company builds some 3,000 single-family homes a year in Texas in the Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio areas. It markets its homes under the Coventry Homes, Pioneer Homes, Carmel Homes, and Plantation Homes brands, with prices ranging from the low $100,000s to more than $1 million. In 2011 MHI added another brand to its stable when it acquired Wilshire Homes, which is active in the Austin and San Antonio areas. Chairman and CEO Frank McGuyer and president and COO Mike Love, founders of MHI and MHI Partnership, have worked closely since the businesses were started in 1988.
