Founded in 1974, Community Access is a pioneer of supportive housing and social services in NYC for people with mental health concerns. We proudly lead advocacy efforts that rally our community to promote human rights, social justice, and economic opportunities. Community Access provides person-centered services that includes 1,500 units of supportive housing that integrates affordable units for families with special needs units, an internationally-recognized peer training academy, and peer-informed crisis and recovery services that connect participants to jobs, friends, and the community-at-large. We support our mission by affirmatively hiring people with a lived experience in the mental health system. Many former recipients of services are now our employees. Degrees are not as important as curiosity empathy, and an innate ability to connect with another human being. If these qualities describe you, please consider applying for one of our positions. Mission: Community Access expands opportunities for people living with mental health concerns to recover from trauma and discrimination through affordable housing, training, advocacy and healing-focused services. We are built upon the simple truth that people are experts in their own lives.
