Fuel Tech develops technologies and products so industrial plants and utilities around the world can run cleanly and efficiently. The company's air pollution control systems segment offers nitrogen oxide reduction products (such as NOxOUT and Over-Fire Air Systems), which reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from boilers, incinerators, furnaces, and other combustion sources. Fuel Tech's technologies are used on more than 550 combustion units, including utility, industrial and municipal solid waste applications. The company's FUEL CHEM segment develops chemical products used to reduce slag formation and corrosion. Chairman, president, and CEO Douglas Bailey and his family own about 25% of Fuel Tech.
