About us: Joe Cassavant, Sr. started Cassavant Machining with a single manual lathe in his garage doing overflow work for other local shops. Today CMI has grown into one of the premier machine shops in the southwest with over 200 employees, more than 90 CNC machines, and customers that include prime aviation, space, military and medical companies. CMI is still owned and operated by the Cassavant family. The cyclical nature of the industries we serve has taught Cassavant Machining to maintain fiscal responsibility and a core team of employees. All of our machines are bought and paid for allowing CMI to function without relying on a line of credit to pay for day-to-day operations. In addition, our key employees are highly motivated, knowledgeable, and cross-trained. Most have been with CMI for 5 to 20 years, and have had industry experience prior to their tenure at Cassavant Machining. These employees manage the quality, engineering, CNC programming, production control, and purchasing functions of the company. Mission:?Dedicated to Perfection. Since 1973 Cassavant Machining, Inc. has striven for perfection in meeting its customers? quality and delivery requirements for precision machined components. The keys to Cassavant Machining?s longevity and success are its world class quality system, technological leadership, it?s people, and in-house capabilities.
